Moot Court Competition

Annual Moot Court Competition

Tenth Annual Date: TBD (2nd or 3rd Saturday in October 2014)

ABOUT THE COMPETITION
Teams of two to five students come to the Contra Costa County Courthouse (A.F. Bray Courts, 1010 Ward Street) in Martinez, CA on a Saturday in October to present their oral arguments before three-judge courts (made up of attorneys and judges). The format is similar to CRF’s Mock Trial pretrial motion. Each team will have two chances to present—once per side. Then we’ll have the semifinal and championship rounds, lunch and awards. Entry fee is $25 per participant (includes snacks, pizza and a T-Shirt). Schools may have more than one team. The competition runs from 8:30 AM to about 3:30 PM.
